Loose notes, drawings and sketches made by J.H. Boteler between 1828 and 1834, including: a plan of the hold of HM Brig ONYX, 1829; rough logs of voyages in the ONYX from Portsmouth to Gibraltar and back (January to February 1829), from Portsmouth to Madeira, Maranham, Para, Trinidad and Barbados (October 1829 to February 1830) and from Barbados to Portsmouth Harbour (February to March 1830); several sketches of Caribbean scenes and vessels including a Brazilian catamaran.
