A series of research notes including typed notes with Frederick Maze's annotations and edits regarding proposed ethnographic study in the Tengyneh district; notes regarding 'The China Incident' when Japan invaded China 1937 and how Maze maintained the Maritime Custom service until Pearl Harbour when he was thrown into a Japanese prison in Shanhai known as Bridge House and copies of diagram indicating the method of operating the Yuloh.
