Letter, carried by an enslaved person, about the 457 enslaved people employed on the Blue Mountain Estate as of 1 January 1785, also with details reportorting on the overall condition of the Estate from William Sutherland, dated 30 June 1785. The letter goes on to explain the reason for the poor condition of the estate stating that a hurrican on 30 July 1785 destroyed a lot of the buildings and crops.
