Letterbook beginning with a letter to Captain Pengilly, Royal Navy, Inspecting Commander, Swansea, dated 13 August 1822, HM Revenue Cruizer HARPY, and ending with a letter to Sir Thomas Fremantle, dated 24 March 1834, Ilfracombe, Devon. Inserted in front cover is a diagram of Furling Sails. There are also a few loose letters inserted further on in the volume.
