The yacht MAIDEN, led by skipper Tracy Edwards, made history in the 1989-1990 Whitbread Round the World Race as the first all-female crew to compete. They finished second in their class and won two of the race’s legs. In the 2023-2024 Ocean Globe Race, Maiden made history again, winning the race and becoming the first all-female crew to triumph in an around-the-world yacht race.
