Magazines include two copies of THE NAVY, 22 and 29 May 1875; PORTSMOUTH TIMES, 11 May 1875; ILLUSTRATED LONDON NEWS 11 November 1876. All relate to the North Pole expedition, 1875 and includes newspaper cuttings on the subject.

Journal kept by Captain Aldrich, HMS HAWKE, 16 May 1893 to 26 September 1895, includes technical drawings, a telegram and orders written up at the back of journal.

Journal kept by Aldrich in HMS SANS PAREIL, 11 July 1899 to 7 August 1899, contains technical workings at the back of the volume.
