Photocopy of an essay entitled "The Pursuit of Naval Ancestry or An Exercise in Laternal Genealogical Practice" by Evan C. Best October 1984 which consists of two pages of gneral introductory notes, one signed by the author, a family tree and a synopsis with the rest of the essay giving details of hos two great grandfathers, Richard Henry Sleeman, Royal Navy (1828 - 1902) and Samuel Hood Linzee Giles (1814 - 1886) who wre Greenwich Hospital Pernsioners. Also contained in the text are family photos and certificates.
