Admiral of the Fleet Sir Thomas Byam Martin,(1773 – 1854) was a Royal Navy officer during the Napoleonic Wars. Charles Bagot (23 September 1781 – 19 May 1843) minister to the United States on 31 July 1815, in the aftermath of the War of 1812. He also served as ambassador to Russia, the Netherlands wand was first Governor General of the Province of Canada from 1841-1843. Robert Hall recived his Knighthood 15 July 1816, he was Commodore on the Lakes of Canada. The Rush–Bagot Treaty or Rush–Bagot Disarmament, was a treaty between the United States and the United Kingdom limiting naval armaments on the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain.
