Letter from Col Johan Caspar van Cicignon, Governor of the Fort of Bergen, to the Captains or Commanders of the frigate or frigates lying in the Harbour of Hannenits or any other places thereabouts, complaining of the firing of English cannon before any hostility had been offered to them, and sending permission for the English to harbour their ships in whatever port may be convenient to them if they offer no hostility. Dated 4 August 1665. Sent by trumpeter and received about 2am.
