Walter Lord's book published in 1955 is an account of the TITANIC disaster in 1912. Lord interviewed sixty three survivors. A TV adaption followed in 1956. In 1986, Lord co-authored a sequel "The Night Lives On" following renewed interest in the TITANIC after the wreck of the vessel was discovered by Robert Ballard.
