Manuscript charts of anchorages in the Mediterranean and some watercolour sketches, circa 1804.

Bound series of manuscript charts of various anchorages in the Mediterranean used by Lord Nelson’s fleet in 1804, and some watercolour sketches of coastal scenes, probably made by a naval officer. The volume has 12 leaves on which there are 8 charts and 7 watercolour sketches as follows:

(1) ‘A Plan of the Anchorages at and near Magdalena Streights of Bonifacio’ (La Maddalena on the north end of Sardinia), also showing passages and tracks of Lord Nelson’s fleet and anchorages used
by the VICTORY, CANOPUS and AGINCOURT.
