Skelt's Views A view of the Royal Hospital at Greenwich.... Vue de l'Hopital Royale de Greenwich

Technique includes etching. Probably based on Boydell's view 'No 17' of 1753 this is by a publisher better known for penny-plain-tuppence-coloured theatrical prints and toy theatre scenes. [PvdM 9/05]

An engraving of the Royal Hospital, Greenwich, published as one of 'Skelt's Views' some time in the 18th century. Skelt's prints were probably copies of works by previous artists.
