One of a set of images by the London marine artist Henry Moses (c. 1782 - 1870), best known for his 1820s series, 'Sketches of Shipping', covering dock scenes on the Thames. See notes for PAD7999. Inscriptions along the bottom here identify ships of the Russian squadron shown: left to right, the 'Hargood', 78 guns; the Russian flagship 'Azoff', 80; 'St Andrew', 74 and 'Constantine' 44.
