On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Ashanti (1959) alongside North Corner Jetty in Portsmouth Dockyard during her September 1968 to April 1970 refit. The photographer is in the communications control room (receiving) between 41 and 43 stations on the port side of 3 deck looking forward on the starboard side showing two cupboard and drawer units with a circuit test unit on them against the starboard bulkhead. CJD No. 1 and No. 2 units are in the port forward corner above a locker. A filter unit is against the forward bulkhead and a locker and tool boxes are below it. Stacks of cartons of Kado teleprinter rolls are in the centre. The CCR Receiver stateboard is fixed to the side of a cabinet on the left. A vertical format negative.
