The photographer is standing on the bow looking aft showing the anchor cable arrangements, 4.5 inch gun, superstructure and mast. She has single 20 mm oerlikon guns on either side of the enclosed bridge. The starboard bow of the aircraft carrier Hermes (1953) can be seen berthed on Middle Slip Jetty. A vertical format negative.
