The photographer is in the wardroom between 50 and 56 stations on the port side of 1 deck looking aft and to port from the starboard side showing the table and upholstered chairs set athwartships in the right foreground. The bar unit is against the ship's side on the right. Above the bar is a sketch of a boy holding a sailing ship is his right hand and a tray with a bottle and glass in his left and with HMS Nubian in scrolls on either side of him. In the lounge area are armchairs, bench settees and an electric fire. A painting of a Nubian warrior holding a spear is above the fire. A bookcase is against the starboard bulkhead on the left.
