On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside South Railway Jetty in Portsmouth Dockyard prior to commissioning on 9 October 1962. The photographer is on the port side of 01 deck at 50 station looking aft and slightly to port showing the single Mark 9 L70 bofors gun mounting trained aft. Abaft it are the davits for the 25 feet motor cutter. The masts of the Victory (1765) can be seen in the background.
