An unidentified brig and schooner dried out at Swansea
A whole plate size salted paper print with the top left corner missing. A port side view from off the port quarter (out of the picture) of an unidentified schooner dried out at Swansea. Ahead of the schooner is a stern view of an unidentified brig, also dried out. Part of the rig and main yard of another ship can be seen off the starboard side of the schooner.
The print has '176' in the bottom right hand corner, which corresponds to Calvert Jones' negative with the title '176. Dutch Galliot at Swansea'. However, neither vessel in the print is a Dutch galliot.
The original negative for this original print is held at the British Library, reference: acc 01376.
