Rafts of logs on the River Amazon.
Rafts of logs on the River Amazon. Small numbers of logs tied together into rafts for floating down the river. Two local canoes, one being paddled by two men and the other named Nova Vida moored amongst the log rafts, are in the picture. The photographer is on a cruise on the Swedish passenger cruise ship Kungsholm (1928) and is probably in one of her boats. The precise location in the Amazon is unknown.
