The harbour at Bahia, Brazil

Looking across the harbour and the lower town at Bahia, Brazil from a high vantage point. A motor car is on the road in the foreground. A number of small lateen rigged sailing vessels are in the harbour basin. A two storey building under a pitched roof is on the left and the Mercado Modelo is on the right, partly obscured by a palm tree. In the centre are two dockside sheds, one being number 2, and a two storey building under a flat roof with a central tower. The harbour breakwater is prominent. A vertical format negative.
