The passenger cruise ship Gripsholm (1925) arriving in port at Bahia, Brazil. The photographer is on the forward end of the promenade deck looking forward over the forecastle as the ship approaches the end of the breakwater heading for the quay. She is dressed overall. Sheds 2 to 10 are on the quays and a coastal steamer is alongside Shed 5. A floating crane, a small steamer, a tug and some lighters are moored inside the breakwater.
