Looking west along the foreshore at Barra, south of the port at Bahia, Brazil, to a small headland. The foreshore is a mix of rock outcrops and sandy beaches and above the coast road is a grassed rise with spindly palm trees. Beyond the rise is the Santo Antonio da Barra Fort and lighthouse.
