On board the Orient line passenger cruise ship Orion (1935) anchored in a fjord, off Sognefjord, Norway.
On board the Orient Line passenger cruise ship Orion (1935) while at anchor in a fjord off Sognefjord, Norway. The photographer is looking forward along the port side from aft showing passengers leaning over the games deck guardrails watching three motor lifeboats under way in line ahead moving away from the ship to collect passengers from a shore excursion. The negative is captioned Balholm but the shoreside settlement is not large enough to be Balholm as there are only a few scattered buildings visible at the head of the valley.
