A coastal village on the island of Bali, Dutch East Indies. The photographer is on the sandy beach looking along the waterline showing about sixteen woven and thatched huts between the water and the line of vegetation at the top of the beach. A few dugout outrigger canoes are on the sand. Rice terraces are cut into the slopes above the village. A few children are on the beach.
