Motor lifeboat number 11 from the passenger and cruise ship Kungsholm (1928) approaching the landing steps on the south side of the Careenage at Bridgetown, Barbados. Two crewmen are standing on the bow of the boat ready to take the mooring line. The photographer is on the south side of the Careenage looking west across the river mouth showing a 2 masted schooner being towed out of harbour past a 3 masted schooner which is berthed alongside the quay wall. In the background is another of the Kungsholm's motor lifeboats.
