The harbour at Kavalla, Greece, taken from the west breakwater looking east-north-east. A rowing boat is in the foreground and the north shore is packed with caiques berthed stern-on to the quay. Some of the caiques are drying sails. The aqueduct is in the centre of the background and the Akropoli Kavala is on the hilltop on the right. This town is variously spelt Kavalla, Kavala and Cavala.
