De Ruyterkade and the entrance to the Waaigat in the Punda district at Willemstad, Curacao. The photographer is on the north side of the Waaigat looking south-west showing a passenger cruise ship's motor lifeboat alongside De Ruyterkade quay. On the quay is a petrol service station with two Standard Gasoline pumps and an air pump. The buildings on the quayside include premises advertising Lucky Strike cigarettes and Siempre Pidan La Fama Cremas cigarrillos. Alongside the quay at the entrance to the Waaigat on the right are three cutters, the inboard one is numbered B8, the middle one is the Baltimore (fl. 1930) B5 and the outboard one is the India (fl. 1930) B77. They are all registered at Bonaire.
