The Rif Fort and Santa Anna Bay at Willemstad, Curacao.

The Rif Fort and Santa Anna Bay at Willemstad, Curacao. The photographer is looking north-north-east from on board a passenger cruise ship showing the Rif Fort at the entrance to Santa Anna Bay. A tall radio mast is next to the fort and beyond it is the Otrabanda district of Willemstad. Buildings in the Otrabanda district fronting the bay include the Hotel Americano and the Wonder Bar. The Queen Emma pontoon swing bridge across the bay is in the closed position preventing shipping access to and from the bay. A 3-masted schooner and a merchant steamship are berthed alongside the Otrabanda quays. Another cargo ship is berthed on the opposite side of the bay in the background. Fort Nassau and the signal station are on the hill to the right.
