A general view of a village on Levuka, Fiji
A general view of part of a village near Levuka, Ovalau Island, Fiji. A thatched wooden windowless bure or vale (house) is on the left of the unmade road with a young woman sitting on a barrel to the left of the door, looking at the camera. The walls of the house are neatly diagonal overlaid palm leaves. On the right of the road is another building where the palm leaf thatch reaches ground-level.
