The Parish Church at Hammerfest, Norway, from the harbour anchorage.

A slightly distant view of the Parish Church at Hammerfest, Norway. The photographer is looking south from a boat in the anchorage and on the right is the Grand Hotel Jensen. The Sadlen is in the background and a lookout tower is on the top of the Sadlen. All of the buildings are of wooden construction. The town of Hammerfest was totally destroyed by German forces in early 1945 and none of the buildings in this photograph survived.
