The island of Lonna from on board the P. & O. Line passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) at Helsingfors, Finland. The photographer is looking north-west showing the island of Lonna with the city of Helsingfors in the background. The twin spires to the right of centre at the Johanneksenkirkko (St. John's Lutheran Church) and the tall spire and dome on top of the rectangular tower just to the left of centre is the Mikael Agricolan Kirkko which was completed in 1935. In the foreground is the ship's lifeboat number 15 standing off. A vertical format negative.
