A senior officer from the Cunard Line passenger cruise ship Franconia (1923) presenting a box of food, possibly biscuits, to a young local woman at Kalabahi, Timor. The officer has three wavy bars on his shoulder straps and is wearing an all-white uniform and a topi. The young woman is bare-chested and the presentation is being watched by other members of the ship's crew and by some of the passengers.
