The photographer is on the north quay looking west-by-south towards the west quay. Luxury motor cars, two uniformed men and other people are on the north promenade. Hotels in the La Condamine district front the harbour with, from left to right, the Bristol Hotel, Majestic Hotel and Renaissance Hotel.
