An unidentified settlement on the shore of a fjord, probably in the More og Romsdal region of Norway. Single storey, pitched roof wooden huts are at the water's edge and a few houses are on the lower slopes beyond the water. High mountains partly shrouded in low cloud are in the background. The negative is captioned Öye but the only place with a similar name, variously given as Oie or Øye, is at the head of Norangfjord and does not have combination of buildings, waterside and mountains. A vertical format negative.
