Single masted lighters packed into George Town harbour on Penang Island, Malaya. They are working cargoes of sacked produce, bricks, oil drums, etc. and there is a line of flat-bed motor lorries on the quayside. A few junks are also in the harbour and anchored in Penang Strait are a number of coastal and ocean-going passenger steamships and passenger/cargo vessels.
