The harbour and town at Philippeville, Algeria. The two-masted coastal sailing vessel Marie Liberate (fl. 1930), seen from very fine off her port quarter, is alongside the quay on the left. A single masted sailing vessel and a brigantine are at anchor nearer the shore. The west end of the town including the town wall is in the background.
