The Hotel Formentor on the Cap de Formentor from Pollenza Bay, Mallorca, Balearic Islands
The Hotel Formentor on the Cap de Formentor on the north side of Pollenza Bay, Mallorca, Balearic Islands. The photographer is looking down from one of the hotel balconies showing the outside patio area which has been laid out as a dance floor enclosed by long tables arranged for seating over 100 guests. Some people are practising a flamenco on the dance floor. The exclusive Hotel Formentor was completed 1929-1930. A motor vehicle is on the tree-lined access road. At the water's edge is a small jetty with a number of people on it and a motor lifeboat from the Orient Line passenger cruise ship Orford (1928) is alongside.
