The Indian War Memorial at Port Tewfik at the southern end of the Suez Canal, Egypt.

A distant view of the Indian War Memorial at Port Tewfik at the southern end of the Suez Canal, Egypt. The memorial was unveiled in May 1926 to commemorate 4,000 officers and men of the Indian Army killed during the Sinai and Palestine Campaign during the First World War. The photographer is looking north-east from on board a ship approaching the entrance to the canal. The canal entrance is on the right and the town of Suez is on the left.
