The west bank of the Suez Canal and the canal entrance at Port Tewfik, Egypt.
The west bank of the Suez Canal and the canal entrance at Port Tewfik, Egypt. The photographer is looking south-west from on board a ship which is heading northbound in the canal and has just passed the Indian War Memorial which is hidden by trees on the canal bank. A small steamer is alongside a pier in the background and in the distance a passenger/cargo liner is at anchor. The negative is slightly out of focus.
