The figurehead is a bust of a female facing forwards. She has snakes in her hair and around her neck. She has a ferocious look on her face. The lower trail-board cheek has also been carved as a snake. This figurehead could represent one of the three Furies: Alecto, Megaera and Tisiphone. It is unlikely to be Medusa, as Gorgons had snakes instead of hair.
