The port side of the promenade deck on board an unidentified cruise ship while under way at sea.
The port side of the upper promenade deck on board an unidentified cruise ship while under way at sea. The photographer is at lifeboat station 10 looking aft showing a few passengers relaxing in wickerwork and cane chairs. One man is leaning on the ship's rail with his hands in his pockets. Lifeboat number 18 is in its davits beyond the promenade deck. This negative was originally identified as the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) by the Marine Photo Service but she did not have a lifeboat in davits aft of her superstructure block.
