Portsmouth Harbour entrance, with the Round Tower and Southsea Castle
original art: drawing. The view is an oblique and forshortened one from a boat in the entrance or the Gosport shore, looking at the Round Tower on a calm grey day, and along the shore towards Southsea Castle at right. It is probably early in the morning and the apparent smoke may be more rolling mist effected by the heavy use of wash in the drawing. [PvdM 9/20]
