St Ives luggers
In the centre foreground of this image is a St Ives mackerel driver of ca. 40ft, regd SS423, moored amidst many other similar luggers in St Ives harbour, including the Ebenezer, regd SS340. The main subject, the SS423, is viewed from the shoreline forward of its port bow, so that its fore lugsail yard is visible on deck, along with its canoe stern and tiller. To the right of the image is the stem of another lugger whose name ending in 'Peace' is partly visible, painted on its bow.
