Well-dressed figures viewing the Stationers' Company barge and Lord Mayor's barge, with other London civic barges afloat beyond

Mounted in album with PAE9907-PAE9923, PAE9925-PAE9964.; Page 17.; Medium includes graphite. This was possibly drawn on the Thames foreshore at Searle's boatyard, Lambeth (see PAE9956). At the top is a pencil detail of one of the barge windows suggesting decoraion on the upper strake of the hull below and that the inserted panels with swags might be upward-sliding shutters. Upper shutters or blinds are visible in two of the Stationers' barge window openings. The drawing is inscribed along the bottom by Moses: 'Stationers Barge' and ' Lord Mayor's Barge', identifying the two closest vessels, and on the far right 'Published by H Moses Jany 1 1827' and, 'H Moses del et Sculp'.
