Various bags and baskets are around the group. This includes two baskets or sacks on the ground to the right of the image, one of which is filled with a white or light-coloured substance (possibly some sort of crop), with a pile of the same substance taking up the right corner of the image. Behind these, a dog can be seen sat on the found and facing the right on the image A tree is visible in the background on the right of the image and a line of vegetation is visible behind the group. Original caption (handwritten in ink beneath): 'At Escarpment'.
