La Rochelle: the tower of the church of Saint-Sauveur from across the harbour

Oil painting. Compared to the view shown in BHC1394, the Gothic tripartite decoration of the tower with an opening only in the central compartment is roughly indicated here. This view is apparently across the east end of the harbour basin. This appears to be a study for the more finished version, BHC1396.
