At 2.30 pm on 2 April 1801 Nelson offered a truce to the Danes, giving them a chance to remove wounded men ashore. Nelson used this time to reposition some of his ships in case the action resumed. Here the message of truce from Nelson to the Crown Prince of Denmark is being received. A complete ceasefire was called afterwards.
