To the Right Honble Lord Barham...This Print representing the Glorious Victory obtained by Admiral Lord Nelson, on the 21st Oct 1805 over the combined French & Spanish Fleets off Cape Trafalgar...
Hand-coloured and one of a set of three, PAI 6132 (PAI5438 being another copy), PAI6134 and PAI6144. These were all issued by Wigley, presumably the original publisher. See their related 'key' print, PAI7813 for details. However PAI5440 and PAI 5441 are apparently reissues by Fairburn, who also issued a matching plate of Strachan's post-Trafalgar mop-up action of 4 November 1805 (PAI5439). [PvdM 7/07]
