Badge: Order of the Red Eagle, Knight 3rd class
Badge of a Knight of the Order of the Red Eagle (Prussia) awarded to Sir John Ross (1777-1856). White enamelled cross with the red eagle of Brandenburg in the centre. On reverse of the centre, the crown and royal monogram 'F W' in gold on white. It is suspended by a white ribbon with a broad orange stripe towards each edge. Awarded to Ross in 1835 see 'The Times' 13 June 1835.
