Wooden carving of the star of a Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath (military). It represents a Maltese cross on top of an eight pointed silver star, in the centre, three crowns (in reference to England, Scotland and Ireland or to the Trinity. This is surrounded by the Latin motto of the Order: 'Tria Juncta in Uno' (three joined in one) and below on a ribbon: 'Ich Dien' (I serve). Possibly from the carved decoration of a ship.
